As a non-profit organisation, our main aim is to make professional drama training as affordable as possible. This is why each year we offer drama scholarships and other awards to those who need them the most. The recipients of these awards will have part of their training paid for them in order to get them on to the course and on their way to fulfilling their dream of becoming a professional working actor.
The Stage Scholarships
The Bridge is offering up to two half-scholarships for the 5-Day Courses in the 2025-26 academic year. Students may apply for a scholarship after auditioning and being accepted onto the course and securing their place by paying their registration fee. The Scholarship Audition will take place on the 30th of August 2025. Students will be assessed on their financial needs, but will also be expected to demonstrate a positive attitude, ability as an actor, commitment to training, and a high level of professionalism.
Other awards may also be available, at The Trustees discretion.
To be considered for a drama scholarship here at The Bridge Theatre Training Company, you will need to have already gone through the regular audition process and been offered a place on our one or two year professional acting course. Full details outlined in the Apply link below.
If you have already been offered a place on the course and wish to apply for a scholarship then please contact us to apply for our annual scholarship audition day. Before attending the scholarship audition, you will need to write a letter/email detailing your circumstances, what the training would mean to you and why you need financial support. Scholarship auditions will take place in August 2024 this year – after which the trustees will review the applications and offer awards accordingly.
“I had an absolutely fantastic time at the Bridge. There was so much warmth and care. It was a big family but at the same time I felt really valued as an individual and that my development as an actor really mattered. The teaching was excellent and I learnt SO much. My time at the Bridge was totally transformational and amazing”
